What is Virtual Trading & How does it work ?

Virtual trading also known as paper trading is the general term for stock market trading where no real money is required to be invested and the setting is entirely virtual. The genuine stock market environment is different from this virtual setting. As a result, none of the trades a trader might make here will influence the actual stock market.

Briefly stated, virtual trading simulates the price changes and stock values found in the actual markets, allowing the trader or investor to conduct virtual trading. Thus, without having to risk any of his/her money, it enables the trader to quickly decide and assess their trading tactics in order to completely rule out the possibility of failure in a real-world situation.

The term “virtual trading" or paper trading was initially used when trading took place physically at real exchanges rather than on computer platforms. In order to increase their earnings, traders, and investors both rehearsed their trading tactics on paper at the same time. To do this, each trading session's price movements of the relevant equities were compared to the trade ideas.

The platform that provides virtual trading facilities are called stock stimulators. When a trader or an investor register on these stock stimulators, they are allotted some virtual money in their account that they can spend on real time stocks or shares to try different investing strategies without losing or risking real money.

Some of the best stock stimulators to learn virtual trading include-

·         Trading View – Virtual Trading

·         Moneybhai – Virtual Trading

·         Trakinvest- Virtual Trading

·         Moneypot

·         Dalal Street

The opportunity to improve one’s trading skills is one of the many chances or benefits that virtual trading provides to traders and investors. Nevertheless, it can be concluded that the best way to study the fundamentals of the Indian stock market is through virtual trading.
